So many possibilities here. While Lando will probably die in some act of heroism, I seriously doubt the Falcon and Chewy will be destroyed or in some way lost forever. It is far more likely that the Falcon and Chewy are a part of Star Wars for the next generation of movies and possibly beyond. They are unobtrusive components of the Skywalker saga that do not grow old in real life, so they can be used in any way a future director wants.
Both halves of Anakin’s/Luke’s lightsaber are likely rebuilt into two lightsabers being wielded by Rey and Kilo. These would likely move forward to the next generation, as well.
All of these symbols of the Skywalker era make us feel good and can be used to gently maintain a sense of continuity. Imagine thirty years from now and a majorly-hyped new Star Wars saga is being unveiled to a packed house aboard a new low-orbit space hotel and broadcast to the entire world and the trailer begins “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…” and as these words dissipate the Millennium Falcon scream onto screen from overhead twisting left before slicing right with a hoard of evil-looking fighters all over it with laser fire. It will be all new, have very different people and be full of contemporary banter, but it will feel like home. That just has to happen.
