Is “The Rise of Skywalker” REALLY the last of the Skywalker Saga?

I had heard the sequel trilogy would end the Skywalker storyline, so I assumed this to be true. That is until I heard JJ Abrams say it. JJ has a long history of misdirection. That is not a bad thing as it keeps people guessing until they see the show or movie he is making. It occurred to me at that point that “ending” the Skyealker Saga could mean anything from Leia dies, leveling no other core OT people, to everything ending, Jedi, Sith, Republic everything, to simply another attempt to establish the galactic empire is thwarted again.

Couple this with the name “The Rise of Skywalker”, the return of Palpatine and I am thinking it is very possible that this movie is a two-part ending to the original storyline, which would be a WOW moment at the end of the movie if Palpatine in control of the First Order and the heroes in shambles. Then, after a black screen for a minute, “…to be continued”

Or, as I have written in other posts, perhaps the Jedi Order ends, the Empire (in any form) is finished and there is a new Skyealker Knight Order, or something like that.

I just can’t think of a believable or satisfying way that Palpatine is suddenly back and in control and then defeated all in 2.5 hours while still progressing the storyline of the other characters. There has to be some misdirection in the marketing.

In any case, the message “this will be the end of The a Skywalker saga” combine with the “The Rise of Skywalker” seems intentionally conflicting to leave us expecting everything or nothing when we walk into the theater.
